This place is a kiln used between the late 14th Century and the 15th Century. The fragments of bowls and plates found here tell us that the kiln was used to bake gray-inlaid celadon or white clay-covered porcelain.
Among the 324 kilns across Joseon named in the geographic records of 『Sejong Sillok』, this place was one of the most recognized places known for best quality porcelain.
It seems that this place made the currently existing vessels that are engraved “Goryeonginsubu Goryeongjangheunggo.”
Most of the products of this kiln are bowls and plates and had thicker walls and chrysanthemums, cloud, or swirl patterns.
