보부상유품

Goryeong Sangmusa was the name of a merchant group that dominated the regional commerce of Goryeong Marketplace in Gyeongbuk. Joasagye held an assembly every first month of lunar calendar to elect the new leader and managers for the one-year term. Then, they performed a ritual for the 140 previous leaders and managers who had already passed away. They had a festival performing Jisinbapgi and Nongak to cherish the memories of former merchants and pray for the wellbeing of village.
As this region is close to the Nakdong River, everyday supplies such as salt and fish were traded by ship. The region was also known for the quality of earth great for porcelain production and a large quantity of porcelain was produced. Goryeongsangmusa was an organized distributor of these supplies.
