Bannyongsa Temple Bronze Bell

반룡사동종

This is a bell made in the late Joseon Dynasty that is 50㎝ in height and 60 kg in weight.
The dragon for hanging the bell is simplified and the top of the bell has six circles with letters engraved inside for ornamentation. There are three lines in relief at the center and letters both above and below the three lines. The bottom of the bell also has the relief of text and a line.
This bell was made by Bannyongsa Temple in the 29th year of Yeongjo (1753) and represents the simplified characteristics of bronze bells from the late Joseon Dynasty.
