Daeseongjeon Shrine of Goryeonghyanggyo Local Confucian School

고령향교 대성전

Located behind the Myeongnyundang Lecture Hall of Goryeonghyanggyo Local Confucian School, Daeseongjeon Shrine is a 3-kan by 2-kan structure with a gable roof where sacrificial rite were held for Confucius and other great Confucian scholars. It enshrines the mortuary tablets of twenty-five Confucian saints, including two of the Song Dynasty of China, two of Silla, two of Goryeo, and fourteen of Joseon, as well as the Five Saints of China. It was designated as a Tangible Cultural Heritage in May 2017. (I.e. it was upgraded from a Cultural Heritage Material).
