죽유종택

These publications are ancient documents and military records kept by descendants of OhWoon, the civil minister and scholar of Chosun’s middle era. OhWoon studied under TaeiGae Hwang Lee and NamMyung Sik Jo. He passed the national civic examination in year 1566 and served as Professor of Seonggyungwan  and Minister of JoonChu.

He left a volume called『JooYoo MoonJeep』.

These publications kept 400 years by his descendants, includes the following. As for ancient documents, there were 18 publications of property and slave distribution during the reigns of MyungJong~YoungJo, 1 publication of official endorsement to notorize one’s fact when private citizen requested, 21 pieces of census to record the population, 85 pieces of OhWoon’s descendant’s doctrines, and one piece of funeral oration commanded by King GwangHae-Goon after OhWoon’s death. These publications, in seven different topics and 110 publications, provide important research materials for learning not only OhWoon’s own assets but for learning society, economy, family structure, and status style of his time.
