Blue-powdered Celadon kiln

고령대평리분청사기요지

Daepyeong-ri Blue-powdered Celadon Kiln used to produce celadon from the late 14th Century to the early 15th Century. It is located in the valley about 300m away from Daepyeong-ri of Unsu-myeon. Local people call this valley Dojanggol or Sagigol.

The valley has a small stream surrounded by moderate slopes. Beneath it is a disposal site. The kiln does not exist today, but it is anticipated that it used to be on the slope to the back. Most destroyed pieces of celadon are from large bowls, large and small jars, and plates. These are blue-powdered celadon with brushed, stamped, or inlaid patterns. Few of them are white or blue porcelain from the Joseon Dynasty.
