"Daegaya Royal Tomb Pavilion is the exclusive pavilion for Jisanri tumulus No.44 that is the first confirmed tomb of burying the living with the dead in Korea, and it was opened in September, 2000."


Outside of Royal Tomb Pavilion

It has dome shape like the mound of Jisandong tumulus No. 44.
Jisanri Tumuli Group is the biggest in Gaya and is located in the west hill of Goryeongeup.


Inside Center of Royal Tomb Pavilion

The stone room structure at the time of discovery has been restored. Around the head stone room where the lord was buried and two stone rooms for buried items, 32 stone lines are placed like a fan. Excavated relics and remaining human bones were replicated and placed in each tomb based on excavation report.
 

Inside Wall of Royal Tomb Pavilion

Historical items are displayed around the inside wall in order to enhance the understanding of Daegaya's history and culture, and visitors can watch related video material while sitting comfortably. The content of the video material include the history of Daegaya, the characteristic and the historical meaning of Jisandong Tumulus No. 44 and so forth.

Display cases are placed along the wall displaying more than 130 relics from Jisandong Tumulus Site as well as potteries, weapons, horse gears, coffins, other ornaments and so forth from other tumulus sites so that visitors can see the refined culture of Daegaya. In addition, computers are placed at the entrance so that visitors can search related information such as Daegaya's history and burial of the living with the dead, structure of Tumulus No. 44, excavated relics and so forth.
