The exhibition hall has the themes including 'the dawn of Daegaya,' 'establishment of Daegaya,' 'growth and development of Daegaya' and 'Goryeong after Daegaya.'

People began to live in Goryeong region from the Old Stone Age of 20,000~30,000 years ago. There are many prehistoric remains of the Bronze Age such as dolmen, menhir, petrograph and so forth.

Heaven god Eviga and Gaya mountain god Jungyunmoju bore two sons. The first one was King Ejinasi who became the founder of Daegaya, and the second was King Suro who became the founder of Gumgwangaya.

Daegaya developed nearby iron mines, made agricultural equipments and weapons and build up its military power. It also conducted active trades with Baekjae, Japan and China.

Daegaya's name was changed to Daegayagun when it was annexed to Shilla in 562. Then it was used as Shilla's military base. There are many remains and relics from Koryo Dynasty and Chosun Dynasty.
