The moon is bright over the pear blossoms and the Milky Way is in the middle of the night.
Would the scops owl know the heart of spring?

This is the shrine for Sir Yi Jo Nyeon (1269~1343, Munyeolgong, Maeundang), a great writer from the Goryeo Dynasty known for 'Dajeongga', the first poem written in Korean. The shrine for Sir Yi Jo Nyeon enshrines his portrait and two monuments are standing in the yard of Baekhwahyeon, one for Sir Yi's achievements and another for Dajeongga. Every February, the descendants of the Yi Family of Seongju perform the Hyangsa ritual here.
