This Daraengi Village is located beneath Mt. Mandae, one of the eight noted sites of Joseon, and is a clean region filled with assorted mountain herbs and greens.
There is a 650-year-old ginkgo tree (National Treasure) that is recorded in the tomb of the founder of the Shin Family of Goryeong and in the pedigree of the Song Family of Namyang. The tree has even survived a lightening.
Mt. Mandae is surrounding the village as a screen and the royal azalea that blooms every spring attracts many hikers.
